Human mind is powerful! There are millions of Americans who suffer from anxiety disorder. The COVID-19 epidemic is making life very difficult for individuals who suffer from mental illness.

Anxiety disorder is a condition where the human body reacts abnormally to stress. Man experiences stress every day. There are work stress, family stress, financial stress, religious stress, marital stress, parental stress and many more. Stress is like a sledge hammer hitting your body. It can die if left untreated. How your body responds to these stresses is important for your health.

The stresses affecting the lives of millions of Americans are linked during the COVID-19 epidemic. I will list many of them but there are many more.

Risk of disease and death. The danger of losing a good-paying job. Risk of getting sick and dying of loved ones. Uncertainty of the future. The risk of the economy crashing and losing your retirement. The danger of running out of essential supplies for your family. Risk of famine or not enough food to eat. Homelessness threat. The danger of separation from family and loved ones. The danger of being judged negatively by society when tested positive for COVID-19. The stress of homeschooling children while on the job. Childcare stress when no diners open. The stress of paying your employees or keeping your small business open. Bill Stress.

Let’s be honest, these stresses are enough to send any human into a condition called anxiety disorder.

Anxiety disorder in its simplest form is a negative reaction to stress in your body. It is like a flight or a reaction to fight stress. A person’s brain can only take so much before it actually causes mental disruption.

Other steps you can take are cutting out all social media, and news media from your life, regularly taking out portions, staying away from caffeine, and getting enough sleep. There are also prescriptions that your doctor can tell are non-drunk but will help calm your body and reduce your anxiety.
